As part of the strategy to be 100 per cent renewable by 2030, the National Sports Council (NSC) has taken the leap to be a renewable energy driven organisation.

Recently, the Barbados National Oil Company Limited (BNOCL) and the NSC signed an energy renewable agreement where the Renewable Energy arm of BNOCL will commission a Photovoltaic (PV) System at the Wildey Gymnasium and deploy PV systems on other NSC pavilions.

This venture will significantly help in the reduction of electricity usage and both entities are equally excited to be involved in the synergy. The work will be conducted in three phases and will commence at the end of the “national pause”.
