The Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI) has continued to make strides towards creating voluntary standards for the improvement of both goods and services in Barbados, and is encouraging the public to join in the process.

From persons who operate businesses that may benefit from standards adoption, to concerned citizens who want a stake in standards development, the BNSI has invited the public to offer their comments on draft standards, listed on the website http://www.bnsi.bb/. Currently, there are three drafts available – specification for ketchup, code of practice for organically produced foods, and guidelines for recreational water quality.

For more information on the BNSI and standards development, visit their website or call 426-3870.
