Public officers involved in the drafting of legislation and development of standards will have the opportunity to learn more about their craft, when the Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI) hosts its training workshop on Good Regulatory Practices (GRP) and Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA).????????????????????????????

The workshop is being held in conjunction with the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality.?? It aims to teach participants how to assist in technical regulation writing, implementing good regulatory practices in the development of these regulations and to explain the difference between the need for regulations versus standards.

Training will be held on Monday, November 15 and Tuesday, November 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, with a representative from each Ministry.?? However, additional officers desirous of attending will be required to pay a registration fee.?? The names should be submitted to the BNSI on or before Wednesday, November 10, and registration fees for additional participants should be submitted on or before Friday, November 12.??
