In an effort to continually improve local benchmarks, the Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI) is requesting public participation in the review of amendments to be made to the National Building Code.

The Institution is seeking comment on three of its latest revisions.?? These are: part 16, which highlights electrical installations; part 17, which focuses on miscellaneous structures and temporary change of use for e.g. swimming pools, tents, canopies, booths and kiosks and part 18, which involves, services and equipment, such as hot water supply, sanitary plumbing and drainage systems and the installation of natural and liquefied petroleum.

Persons can access these documents at the National Library, Independence Square, Bridgetown.?? They are invited to share their suggestions and queries at a session to be held on Wednesday, November 17, in the Lecture Theatre (1st floor) at the Ministry of Labour, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.??
