Boat owners are advised to secure their vessels immediately, as officials continue to monitor the approach of Tropical Storm Gonzalo.

Owners of small craft that can be moved manually are strongly advised to remove gear and vessels from the water.

Larger fishing vessels on the south and south-west coasts are advised to seek safe shelter in the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex.

Persons who have vessels in the waters at Consett Bay, or who normally use that site for safety, are asked to note that the Fisheries Division will be hauling vessels tomorrow, Thursday, July 23.

Individuals with vessels measuring over 25 feet, in the north of the island in waters at Half Moon Fort, Six Men’s and Weston, seeking shelter in the Marina at Port St. Charles, should call 419-1000 for instructions.

Persons are reminded that a minimum of six tyres are required for fendering, and strong rope is needed for securing vessels.  All boat operators entering Port St. Charles must wear face masks.
