Members of the public will have another opportunity to improve their physical fitness while contributing to a worthwhile cause.

The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) will be hosting a 19-week boot camp exercise series from April 1 to August 9, in preparation for the BDF Have A Heart Charity Walk & Run on Saturday, August 10, as well as to encourage healthy lifestyles.

Boot camps will be held for a nominal fee on Mondays and Thursdays, at the BDF’s Headquarters, St. Ann’s Fort, Garrison, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.  The sessions will be delivered by trained BDF physical training instructors.

Persons interested in participating may register at BDF Headquarters, from Monday, March 4, to Friday, March 22, or on any Monday or Thursday the boot camp is in session.

The money collected from the boot camp and the charity walk and run will be donated to Precious Touch Foundation Inc., and assist in the work of the BDF Morale Welfare & Recreation Committee.  Precious Touch assists those children, who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition or are terminally ill, realize their wishes.
