Those persons who wish to participate in the Barbados Defence Force’s (BDF) boot camp may now sign up for the exercise sessions, which will begin next Monday, April 16.

Registration takes place daily from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Lingwood Hall, St. Ann’s Fort, Garrison, St. Michael. Persons may also pay the nominal fee on the day of the exercise sessions, which will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., or 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The BDF will be hosting the five six-week boot camps, which are in preparation for the Digicel/BDF Have A Heart Charity Fun Walk & Run on Saturday, August 11, as well as to encourage persons to exercise. Physical training instructors at the BDF will deliver the sessions.

Series 1 will be held from next Monday, April 16 to May 25, while Series 2 will run from May 28 to July 6; and Series 3 from July 9 to August 17. Series 4 will start on August 20 and end on September 28, while the final one will be from October 1 to November 9.

The boot camps will be held at various locations in St. Michael, including Lingwood Hall; Garrison Savannah; HMBS PELICAN, Spring Garden; Browne’s Beach; Brandon’s Beach, Pebble’s Beach, Drill Hall Beach; and the Wildey Gymnasium.
