Minister of Education, Ronald Jones, sharing a light moment with the Boys’ Scout troop at St. Gabriel’s School. (FP)??

Boys across the island are being urged to be part of the celebrations to recognise 100 years of scouting in Barbados this Sunday, March 11.

This appeal is coming from the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, which is asking parents/guardians to accompany their charges to the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, Wildey, for the service and parade of the Boy Scouts Association, at 3:00 p.m.

Parents/guardians are, however, reminded by the Ministry that boys who are not scouts, and who will be attending the event, must wear their respective schools’ uniform.
