Commenting on the establishment of the BRA, Ms. Sivers said: ???I am relieved that the matter has now been settled and the uncertainty relating to the transition process is over. We, as an Authority, can now get ahead with the business of bringing improved governance and structure to tax administration, working on our interaction with the public to improve tax payer education and voluntary compliance. In doing so, it is anticipated that members of the public will recognise the importance of taxation as a vehicle to national development and that they will play their part.???

She attended the Girls??? Foundation and Combermere schools and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the St. Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies. She is a Certified Management Accountant.
