Outgoing British High Commissioner, Paul Brummell, has expressed satisfaction with his country???s long-standing relationship with Barbados, which, he says, has grown stronger over time.

He formally thanked Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Maxine McClean, and her team for their assistance during his four-year tour of duty during a farewell call at the Ministry on Tuesday.

High Commissioner Brummell said the official visits by three UK Ministers to the Caribbean, leading a delegation of Foreign Ministers to Grenada, the visit of the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations and the visit of the Archbishop of Canterbury were ???reflective of the close relationship between the two countries???.

Likewise, Senator McClean also praised the relationship, and commended the British High Commissioner for doing his part to maintain it, and said she looked forward to fruitful discussions with the new High Commissioner.
