Officials from the Barbados Statistical Service (BSS) will take their 2010 Population and Housing Census promotion to St. Michael communities this coming Saturday, April 24.

The motorcade, designed to educate Barbadians about the Census, will move off from the BSS’ Old National Insurance Building Fairchild Street, Bridgetown headquarters from 9:00 a.m.

From there, they will follow a route which takes them along Beckles Road, Dalkeith Hill, Villa Road and Collymore Rock. The team will then proceed to the Pine and travel to districts such as Princess Royal Avenue and Golden Rock.

The motorcade will continue along the Norman Niles Roundabout on the ABC Highway, before turning left onto Belle Gully and My Lords Hill. The BSS team will also make stops in Bridge Road and Bank Hall Cross Road, before turning left at Eagle Hall and proceeding to Fontabelle via Princess Kennedy Drive and Cheapside. It will then proceed along Broad Street and end at Fairchild Street.

Some 705 trained enumerators will be involved in the exercise over the next six weeks starting from Sunday, May 2.
