The series of town hall meetings on the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (BSSEE) will move to Blackman and Gollop Primary, Staple Grove, Christ Church and Mount Tabor, St. John, this Saturday, January 12.

The following day, Sunday, January 13, sessions will take place at Bay Primary School, Bayland, St. Michael and St. Joseph Primary, Horse Hill, St. Joseph.

On Tuesday, January 15, there will be meetings at the Eden Lodge Primary, Eden Lodge, St. Michael and St. Lucy Primary, Trents, St. Lucy; while on Wednesday, January 16, Grazettes Primary, Grazettes, St. Michael will be the venue.

All meetings begin at 5:00 p.m.

Main facilitators for the sessions will be Senior Education Officer (Examinations), Glyne Price; Education Officer, Everton Briggs and Principal of Hillaby Turner’s Hall, Colin Cumberbatch. They will instruct persons on how to fill out the forms used in the BSSEE, including those for choice of school, deferral and special requests.

The series is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development which aims to familiarise parents and guardians as well as educators to the processes involved in the administration of the examination, which will be held this year on Tuesday, May 7.

Parents and guardians of children who will be taking the 2013 BSSEE, familiarly known as the Common Entrance Examination, are encouraged to attend at least one session.
