Local vegetables, fruits and meat, including turkey wings, will be on sale during the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation???s (BADMC) Southern Farmers??? Market on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23.

The event, designed to assist local farmers, will be held under the theme: Grow Local, ???.Buy Local, at the BADMC???s Fairy Valley, Christ Church, location from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Members of the public are invited to come out and capitalise on the sale of various fruits, vegetables, herbs, chicken burgers, local lamb, beef (stew and primal cuts), pork, and mincemeat. In addition, they can also benefit from the sale of onions, cassava and breadfruit flour, eggs and locally produced agro-processed products such as jams, oils, wines and sauces.

There will also be free health checks, a kids play area, and karaoke. Admission is free.

Primary school students are also invited to tour the market, and all interested schools are asked to contact Kelly Ann Gibson at 428-0250 to book a tour.

Meanwhile, all famers and vendors wishing to participate in the market are asked to contact Ms. Gibson at 428-0250 or 428-0251 to register no later than Wednesday, November 20.
