The Barbados Vocational Training Board (BVTB) has commenced its Graduate Tracer and Attrition Studies for persons who have completed the Skills Training Programmes during the academic period 2014-2016.

The BVTB will also be completing an Attrition Study for persons who dropped out from the Skills Training Programmes between August 2016 and June 2017.

The aim of the Graduate Tracer study is to determine the benefits of the Skills Training Programme, while the Attrition Study seems to ascertain why persons dropped out of the programme.

Telephone surveys will be conducted by staff of the BVTB from Monday, October 23 to Friday, December 29. Participation is voluntary and all information collected will be confidential.

Interviewees will receive mobile credit and valuable job seeking information, and guidance will be provided for all participants at the end of the survey.  All data gathered from this exercise will be used to better serve the educational needs of trainees.

Further information on the exercise may be obtained by contacting Research Officer, Kwesi Osei, at 621-2882 ext 2216; Research Assistant, Shanice Burke, at 621-2881, ext. 2220; or Research Officer, Cassandra Delaney, at 621-2889.
