The Barbados Vocational Training Board (BVTB) and the Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) will both be celebrating their 40th anniversary this month with a number of activities.

The two entities, which have collaborated for the past five years, will jointly mark the occasion with a thanksgiving service at the St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Chapel Gap, St. Michael, on Sunday, March 8, commencing at 9:15 a.m.

CARICAD is a regional, inter-governmental institution established by CARICOM member states and its mandate is to improve the administrative capability of its member-states, primarily through public sector transformation.

Additionally, the BVTB will host a 40th Anniversary Staff versus Trainees limited overs cricket match on Wednesday, March 4, at Weymouth grounds, Roebuck Street, St. Michael, commencing at 6:00 p.m. There will be guest celebrity players participating in the match.

The Board’s Annual Trainees Sports Day takes place on Friday, March 6, also at Weymouth grounds, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The public is invited to join in the celebrations.
