Staff at the Barbados Vocational Training Board (BVTB) showed their caring side on Tuesday, December 28, when they made a donation of canned food items to the HIV Food Bank, Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael.

Among the items donated were tuna fish, corned beef and sardines. The donation formed part of the BVTB’s Christmas celebratory activities.

In making the presentation, Coordinator of the initiative Jennifer Walker said she was particularly pleased with the number of items collected, adding that they would ensure that less fortunate persons could also enjoy the Christmas season. This was the first time the BVTB staff made a donation to the HIV Food Bank and Ms. Walker expressed optimism that this gesture would be repeated annually.

Receiving the items was Assistant Manager of the Food Bank, Theresa Sealy, who thanked Ms. Walker for the contribution and encouraged the BVTB staff members to continue giving to the organisation.??????kmoore@barbados.gov.bb
