The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has advised that the community tanks will be reinstalled within a few days to service the affected areas.

This announcement comes after the removal and/or disconnection and draining of the community tanks in some districts by Innotech Utilities Inc.

The BWA has indicated that as a result of the support and tremendous sense of civic responsibility from Barbadians, particularly from corporate Barbados, not only would the tanks be installed, but all previous issues surrounding the design of the bases would be rectified to make them more user-friendly.

Updates on the progress of work being carried out on the community tanks will be issued via the media and the Authority’s Facebook page.

Residents are asked to contact the BWA’s Hotline at 434-4292 to immediately report any service disruptions in their area, and water tankers will be dispatched as usual to service affected areas.

The Barbados Water Authority apologises for any inconvenience caused to customers.
