The Barbados Water Authority has advised that the repair of a 12-inch main at Halls Road, St. Michael, has been completed.
Repair of the main, which apparently ruptured early on Thursday morning, was completed by the Authority’s crews by late afternoon. The area was back-filled, however, reinstatement of the road is expected to be completed by the Ministry of Transport, Works and Maintenance today, Friday, September 6.
The Authority also completed repairs today to bursts on mains in several other districts. These included Belleville, Black Rock & Westbury Road in St. Michael, and Mount Wilton in St. Thomas.
The BWA again apologizes for the inconvenience these disruptions in service may have caused.
