The Barbados Water Authority has advised that it will be making a 20-inch main connection at St Stephen’s, Free Hill, Black Rock, St. Michael, and residents and businesses along Highway 1 may experience low pressure or water outages.

The connection, which will be made between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28, will assist the authority in its water augmentation measures to address the movement of water along the West Coast. 

As a result of the planned work, low pressure or water outages may occur in the following areas: In St. James: Prospect, Fitts Village, Appleby, Derricks, Paynes Bay, Sandy Lane, Sunset Crest, Holetown, Jamestown Park, Trents, Porters, Lower Mount Standfast, The Garden, Weston, Lower Crick Hill, Lower Carlton and surrounding districts.  In St. Peter: Gibbs, Mullins, Road View, Battaleys and surrounding districts.

Customers are asked to store an adequate supply of water, if necessary, to assist them during the period of planned work. 

The Barbados Water Authority apologizes for any inconvenience which may be caused.
