(BWA)

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has advised that all pumping stations affected by power outages from the Barbados Light & Power Company in the north of the island this morning, Tuesday, August 27, have been restarted, and power has been restored.  All stations are now back online.

The BWA is presently addressing reports of suspected bursts on mains in Sunset Crest and Porters in St. James; Jordans, St. George and Cambridge, St. Andrew.  The Authority will continue to service any affected areas via water tanker as a temporary measure.

Customers who may have a water related issue may contact the BWA by calling 434-4292, or via Facebook.

In addition, the emergency number established for use during the passage of Tropical Storm Dorian is no longer in use.

The BWA apologizes for any inconvenience these disruptions in service have caused.
