The Department of Constituency Empowerment is inviting interested persons to sign up to serve on several of the island’s Constituency Councils.
The councils are: St. John, St. Lucy, St. James South, St. Philip North, St. Philip West, Christ Church East, Christ Church East Central, Christ Church West Central, St. George North, St. Michael South, St. Michael South East and City of Bridgetown. Candidates can be nominated by a community-based organisation, and individuals can also nominate themselves.
All interested persons must fill out a nomination form, which may be collected from the Department of Constituency Empowerment, Fourth Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael, or may be downloaded from its website www.councils.gov.bb.
Nomination forms must be completed and submitted to the Department no later than Friday, March 3. For further information, persons may contact the Department at 535-1637, or 535-1642.
