Twenty trees will be added to the landscape of Bath, St. John, tomorrow when 51 children who attend the National Sports Council’s Summer Camp plant them as part of an educational/environmental initiative.

The campers will leave Bathsheba, St. Joseph, at 11:00 a.m. and hike to Bath, where they will plant the trees as part of the National Conservation Commission’s (NCC) Re-vegetation Project.

This programme started in 2007 and was sponsored by the Organisation of American States and executed by the NCC. Its goal is to plant 80,000 trees, 18,000 of which have already been planted. saustin@barbados.gov.bb
