Thirty-eight campers attending the Unique Helping Hand Summer Camp recently got a special opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, when they toured Ilaro Court.

And, they eagerly seized the chance to have a wide-ranging 20-minute discussion with Mr. Stuart. They talked about his functions as Prime Minister; his plans when he leaves public office; and how he handles criticisms, among other things.

Mr. Stuart told the children that a Prime Minister must set the highest example for his people and do everything to make the country and the lives of its citizens better.

Acknowledging that praise and criticism would come, he stressed that people should always be true to themselves and be careful what they consumed.?????When you take in the wrong things through your ears or through your eyes, those things become a part of you for the remainder of your life. You have to be very careful with what you allow your eyes to see and ears to hear.

???Seeing and hearing are forms of consumption like eating and drinking. A lot of people do not realise that, and they listen to the wrong things and then all that poison takes over their personality and they become very much like the people who are spraying the poison,??? he remarked.

Mr. Stuart said his plans include writing books when he leaves public life, and disclosed that he had already started the process by jotting down vital information.During the eight-week camp, the children visited a number of places, including Parliament, the Yacht Club, the Barbados Workers??? Union and the European Union, thanks to the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust.
