The Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, in collaboration with United Nations Barbados and the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), will next week host a Capacity Building Workshop for members of civil society organisations that fall under the Third Sector.

The event, which was originally scheduled for mid-March this year but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will now be held on Wednesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 15, via the Zoom platform. It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day.

Minister of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, Colin Jordan, will deliver the feature address at the opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Resident Coordinator, United Nations Organisation to Barbados and the OECS, Didier Trebucq, will also address the participants. 

The first in a series of capacity building workshops, it has as a key aim to enhance and strengthen the capacities of members within these organisations and will cover such areas as Proposal Writing and Project Governance. All sessions will be facilitated by the United Nations team.
