Prime Minister David Thompson has called on the members of The Covenant Life Teaching Centre to keep contributing to the development of Barbados not only at their church, but also, as part of the wider Christian community.

His brief remarks were made last Saturday, after he turned the sod at the church’s ground-breaking ceremony at Green Hill, St. Michael.

"Continue to give your church leaders the support for their vision and to pray for them, for our country, and for our leaders. Work in earnest to ensure that your church has an impact on this community and on Barbados as a whole," Mr. Thompson advised.

He also told the congregation that they should work to ensure that when the project was finished, that it would be a beacon for the rest of Barbados, and the entire region.

"You should also be ambitious enough to ensure that it will be a beacon to the rest of the world," the Prime Minister suggested.
