Under the theme: Harnessing the Power of Innovation – the Engine for ICT-Enabled Caribbean Development, it is being staged by the Government of Barbados and the Caribbean Telecommunications Union to showcase the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit in the region. It will also raise awareness within the public and private sectors, civil society and academia, of the innovative approaches possible and necessary for the effective use of ICTs in government, business and social development.

The ICT Roadshow will get under way with a Techno Village on Friday, September 7, in National Heroes Square, the City from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. ??

The Caribbean ICT Roadshow is a call for action by all Barbadians for introspection and to answer the question – Are we using our education, our collective energies, our uniquely Barbadian spirit to harness the power of Information and Communication Technologies for productivity gains and enhanced efficiencies in all spheres of our endeavours, or are we going to wait until the others pass us by, and further down the road try to catch up?
