The Ministry of Health and Wellness and the National Task Force on Wellness will jointly host Caribbean Wellness Day at Sheraton Mall, Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church, on Saturday, September 12.

The regional theme, Stronger Together 2020,is centred on people and organisations coming together to promote wellness and mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The event will run from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m.

 Booths promoting wellness will be set up throughout the mall and people visiting the booths will have the opportunity to win prizes.  A psychologist will also be on hand to offer tips on reducing stress during the pandemic.

Physical activities such as tai chi, line dancing, and a dance session by Spinny Fitness will begin in the Courts carpark at 3:00 p.m.  There will also be a special programme paying tribute to frontline workers.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bostic, is expected to speak to the gathering at 3:00 p.m.            

The free event is open to everyone.
