Everyone is invited to participate in a variety of activities, including an Amazing Wellness Race, road tennis and health testing.  There will also be booths, displays and live performances.

A highlight will be the launch of the National Task Force on Wellness by Minister of Health and Wellness, Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bostic, in Heroes Square at 10:30 a.m.

Organisations involved in the activity include the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association, the Healthy Caribbean Coalition, Pharma Wellness International, Schools Against Non-communicable Diseases and the Breastfeeding and Child Nutrition Foundation.

Caribbean Wellness Day, celebrated on the second Saturday in September, promotes physical activity, healthy eating and the elimination of tobacco use in order to reduce the risk factors associated with Non-Communicable Diseases.

The event, which is in its 10th year, has as its theme: Be Healthy, Stay Healthy…It’s Your Job.
