Barbados will join the rest of the region in observing Caribbean Wellness Day on Saturday, September 12, with an afternoon of fitness activities in Independence Square, Bridgetown.

From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the National Task Force on Physical Activity and Exercise will host a variety of workout sessions, including a warm up session of tai chi with Quasen Sealy, line dancing with Leon Greaves and ???dancersize??? with Jasper Blades and Kenny Griffith.

There will also be an aerobics session conducted by Brenda Worrell and a yoga cool down session. Calypsonians iWeb and Blood will provide musical backing. Everyone is invited to participate.

The Ministry of Health is also encouraging private and public sector employees to support its Wear Your Sneakers To Work Day activity on Friday, September 11. Workers are asked to be as active as possible on that day ??? walking whenever possible, using the stairs instead of elevators and taking fitness breaks during the work day.
