The Ministry of health will host a fun walk, to mark celebrations for Caribbean Wellness Day this Saturday, September 12.

It gets under way from 7:00 a.m. and will see participants moving from Independence Square along the following route: Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge – Wharf Road – Hincks Street – Princess Alice Highway – Elsie Payne Roundabout – Holborn Circle – Fontabelle – Cheapside – City Centre Mall – Broad Street -Heroes Square – Charles Duncan O’Neale Bridge – Probyn Street – Bay Street -Independence Square.

The walk is expected to attract a wide cross-section of Barbadians and representatives from other Caribbean territories, currently on the island. Persons working in all aspects of health care, as well as those desirous of improving their well-being are encouraged to join in the celebration of Caribbean Wellness Day.

Families are also urged to bring their children and elderly relatives.

Participants are asked to register by Thursday, September 10. Forms are available at polyclinics throughout the island and in the local print media. Entry forms should be returned to the Ministry of Health in Jemmott’s Lane, or any polyclinic.
