No Caribbean students were killed in the recent vehicular accident in Cuba.

This was who stressed by the Heads of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Diplomatic Missions in Havana, who have sought to correct a number of misleading news reports in sections of the Caribbean media which reported that five students had been killed in the accident.

The CARICOM Missions have assured the parents of students on scholarship in Cuba that the students are safe.

The CARICOM Caucus can confirm that a bus carrying students to an activity in the eastern province of Camaguey to celebrate Grenada’s 39th Anniversary of Independence overturned.

That accident resulted in minor injuries to some students from Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas and Mozambique. They were all treated and discharged.
