Chief Executive Officer with the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF), Ambassador Lorne McDonnough, will present the findings of a paper which outlines the organisation’s efforts to bridge the development gaps among countries within the region.

The report, entitled: Toward Cohesion, will be discussed during a press briefing on Thursday, July 26, at the CDF’s office in the Old Town Hall Building, Cheapside, Bridgetown, starting at 10:30 a.m.

During the session, the Ambassador will highlight key aspects of the document which focuses on the progress of the CDF’s Country Assistance Programmes and other activities undertaken to fulfill its mandate.

The CDF’s Cohesion Specialist, Andrea Symmonds, will also give an overview of the department’s research on the developmental tools used to measure gaps between Most Developed Countries (MDC’s) and Less Developed Countries (LDC’s).

Senior officials of the CDF will be on hand to answer questions from members of the media.

The CDF is the financial instrument of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy whose mandate is to support disadvantaged countries, regions and sectors, with a view to narrowing the gap within the region.?? It was established in 2008.
