Media personnel will get the opportunity to make an input into the drafting of the Strategic Plan for CARICOM 2014 – 2019, tomorrow, Friday, June 7.

This is when CARICOM’s Change Facilitation Team, currently on the island to solicit views from various stakeholders, meets with senior executives and journalists, tomorrow at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Culloden Road, St. Michael.

The meeting, which starts at 9:00 a.m., will be addressed by Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, Robert Morris.

Barbados is one of the pilot countries for the consultation process which was agreed upon at a meeting last month in Trinidad and Tobago.?? Areas being addressed include the vision, mission and core values of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), priority areas for the attention of the Community during the period 2014 – 2019 and modes of implementation to ensure results.

In addition to consultations with the media, the change facilitation team would have met with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, Members of Parliament, representatives of business, labour, youth and other civil society groups, regional organisations and CARICOM regional institutions headquartered on the island.
