Over 150 participants who have qualified for certification with the Competency-Based Training Fund (CBTF) will graduate next Wednesday, November 18.

This is when the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, in collaboration with the CBTF, hosts the Class of 2015 Graduation Ceremony, at the Hilton Barbados Resort, Needhams Point, St. Michael, at 5:30 p.m.

The graduates have been deemed competent in their occupational areas and will be awarded either a National or Caribbean Vocational Qualification.

Since 2014, the CBTF has funded 25 employer-driven training projects, and this has resulted in 985 individuals having successfully completed training, 150 of whom have been certified.

Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ronald Jones, and Minister of Labour, Social Security and Human Resource Development, Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo, will address the graduates.

Deputy Director of Continuing and Professional Education at the University of the West Indies, Open Campus, Dr. Ian Austin, will deliver the feature address.
