The Community Development Department (CDD), in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, will host a series of free programmes, commencing August 2020.

The Department will also host its ITs for Teens Summer programme for 13 to 18 year olds, and its Community Technology Programme. The ITs for Teens programme will include courses in computer graphics, web page design and video editing. 

Courses offered under the Community Technology Programme include:

  • Short-term courses – Internet Banking, Google Suite, Moodle and Zoom.
  • 3-month course – Basic Information Technology, Introduction to Microsoft Suite, Business Accounts using Quickbooks and Social Media Marketing.
  • 6-month Courses – Internet Home Business, Office Administration and Technology, Computer Programme, Computer Repairs and Data Base Management.

Registration will open online on Monday, July 27, and all classes will be held online. Participants are required to have computer and internet access.
