In celebration of the ???Day of National Significance’, the Ministry of Community Development and Culture will host a cultural presentation on Monday, July 26, at the Oistins Bay Gardens, Oistins, Christ Church.

The ceremony, which begins at 7:00 p.m., will feature performances by the Pinelands Creative Workshop, the Israel Lovell Foundation, as well as music by Lion Soul, among others.

The Day of National Significance is part of the Season of Emancipation, which began on April 14 and concludes on August 23 – "UNESCO International Day for the remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition."

Emancipation Day will be celebrated on Sunday, August 1, with the bank holiday on Tuesday, August 3. askeete@barbados.gov.bb
