Senior Scholar with the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, Dr. Jerome Handler, will trace the historical development of pottery in Chalky Mount, St. Andrew, when the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC), and the Barbados Museum and Historical Society (BMHS), host a lecture on the subject.

The discussion under the theme: The Chalky Mount Potteries: A Unique Barbadian Craft Industry, is slated to take place on Tuesday, April 27, at the BMHS, St. Ann’s, Garrison, St. Michael tstarting at 7:30 p.m.

Professor Handler, an anthropologist, has been conducting research on Barbadian history and culture for close to five decades.
