Members of the public are invited to attend the upcoming activities being hosted by the Community Health Action Management Programme (CHAMP).

The first event is a lecture and discussion on Cancer and Men, scheduled for Thursday, July 13, at 7:00 p.m., at the Valley Resource Centre, St. George. The lecture will be preceded by free Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), starting at 6:00 p.m.

Following this, there will be another lecture and discussion on Thursday, July 27, at 7:00 p.m., at the Ellerton Community Centre, Ellerton, St. George. The focus of this lecture will be Cancers affecting Women, and women in attendance will be able to take advantage of free breast examinations from 6:00 p.m.

CHAMP is a programme which is sponsored by the Community Development Department which seeks to reduce Non-Communicable Diseases in local communities. For more information on any of the above listed events, persons should contact Bertram Bispham at 535-1666 or Sonia Jones at 228-2638.
