The courses offered by the Ministry of Health’s Animal Control Centre and the Veterinary Association have been postponed from this month and will now run from November 1 to December 1.

Seven classes will be held at the Barbados Community College (BCC). The courses offered include Legislation, Choosing a Dog, Dog Care, Principles of Sanitation, Dog Handling, Vector Control and Canine Disease.The programmeis aimed at the 18,000 licensed animal owners, however, members of the general public, may also attend.

No more than 30 persons will be admitted per class. ??There is a registration fee of $350. ??No prior certificates are necessary. Interested persons are asked to call the Student Affairs Office of the BCC, for more information at telephone no. 426-2858 ext. 5232/5231/5210/5211.
