One of the community meetings for residents of the Greater Bridgetown Area to discuss the Emerging and Sustainable Cities Initiative (ESCI) will now be held on Wednesday, July 1, at Queen???s College, Husbands, St. James, beginning at 6:00 p.m., and not June 24 as was previously stated.

However, the first meeting in the series will still be held next Wednesday, June 17, at the St. Leonard???s Boys??? Secondary School, Richmond, St. Michael, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The ESCI is a technical assistance programme that helps intermediate cities in Latin America and the Caribbean to identify, prioritise and structure projects to improve their environmental, urban and fiscal sustainability.

It is sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank and will be jointly implemented by the public and private sectors and community-based organisations in the Greater Bridgetown Area. The districts in the area include Nelson Street, New Orleans, Deacons Road, Haynesville, Bayland, Pinelands, Bush Hall, Clapham, Bonnetts and Carrington Village.
