Several constituency councils in St. Michael and St. Andrew have joined forces with the Ministry of Health, Parish Ambassadors and District Emergency Organisations to share information on the chikungunya virus and how it can be prevented.

The campaign will be conducted at several locations in the two parishes from 8:30 a.m. to noon. In St. Andrew, the starting point is Isolation Cavaliers Sports Club and areas to be visited include Cane Garden, Baxters, Coggins, Chalky Mount, Cambridge and Lakes.

The St. Michael North East Constituency will lead the team visiting Military Road, Alleyne???s Land and the environs. The St. Michael East Constituency Council will be in Belle Tenantry and Licorish Village and the St. Michael North West Constituency Council will visit householders in Free Hill and neighbouring districts.

The walk-throughs are part of the national exercise to sensitise persons about the chikungunya virus and residents have been urged to cooperate with the health officials and other team members.
