Child abuse in its various forms and the negative impact it has on our young people will be highlighted when a free public concert is held this Saturday, May 29, at Solidarity House, Harmony Hall, St. Michael, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the Child Care Board and the United Nations Children’s Fund, the concert, which has as its theme "The Cry of the Child", will feature songs, dance, drama, skits, poems and mime.

Performers will be drawn from various youth groups at churches across the island, including Sanctuary Empowerment, Christ Church Parish Church, Halls Road Nazarene and Carrington Wesleyan Holiness.

The concert is being billed as a family event and the public is invited to support the initiative.
