Barbadians are being invited to come out in their numbers for the Christmas in The City spectacular on Saturday, December 22, in Independence Square, from 3:30 until 8:30 p.m.
Billed as a true Bajan Christmas, the event is being organised by the Bridgetown Development Committee as a way of bringing vibrancy and dynamism to The City. It will offer persons the opportunity to shop, enjoy carolling and boat rides as well as purchase food and drink.
A number of special attractions will be prepared for children including a kiddies corner that will feature a jumping tent, bumper carts, Santa Claus and his elves, face painting, toy making and games, while adults will be able to see and purchase the work of local artists and craftsmen.
Persons attending are being asked to contribute a non-perishable food item for the HIV and Salvation Army Food banks.
