Barbadians are being encouraged to participate in a church service to commemorate International Women’s Day on March 8.

The service, which is being held by The National Organisation of Women in collaboration with the Bureau of Gender Affairs, will take place on Sunday, March 6, at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael, at 11:00 a.m., under the theme ???A Hundred years: A Hundred Voices.’

The Bureau of Gender Affairs will soon release a calendar of events to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day.?? In the past, several activities including a Health Extravaganza, an exhibition featuring women, and a luncheon to honour women in decision making positions, were held in recognition of the day.
