Senior Citizens’ Month (September) will be observed with three church services, by institutions which cater to the elderly, beginning this month end.

On Sunday, August 30, the Ministry of Social Care, the National Assistance Board and the Ministry of Health will hold an ecumenical church service at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Bishop of Barbados, Dr. John Holder, will deliver the sermon.

The following Sunday, September 6, the St. Lucy District Hospital will have its thanksgiving service at the Connell Town Pentecostal House of Prayer, Connell Town, at 10:30 a.m.??

The next Sunday, September 13, will be the turn of the Gordon Cummins Hospital, which will hold its church service at the Western Light Church, Oxnards, St. James. It begins at 10:15 a.m.

Members of the public are invited to attend these services.
