Persons interested in learning more about our climate and water will soon have an opportunity to explore these areas when the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH) hosts its annual summer school programme.

The Weather and Water Summer Camp, which runs from Monday, July 10, to Friday, August 4, is a Hydrological and Meteorological Observer’s course which offers an introduction to Meteorology and Hydrology.

The course also includes observation and measurement; exposure to global and tropical weather systems and their impacts; exposure to weather forecasting, agrometeorology and climate change issues; and applications of the earth sciences.

No academic prerequisites for entry into the camp are necessary, as it seeks to target secondary school students entering fourth form.

Interested persons should contact the CIMH by Friday, June 30. Further information may be obtained by contacting Dr. Andrea Sealy or Shawn Boyce at 425-1362 or 425-1363.
