The challenges faced by both the victim and the offender during the criminal justice process will come into sharp focus next week, when the Criminal Justice Research and Planning Unit (CJRPU), hosts a webinar highlighting this subject.

Senior Research Officer in the CJRPU, Kim Ramsay, will lead the discussion on the topic: The Challenges Faced by the Victim and Offender in the Criminal Justice Process, on Wednesday, November 18, at 10:00 a.m. via the Zoom platform.

On Thursday, November 26, Professor Dwayne Devonish, will release the findings of a study on Social Cost of Crime during a webinar from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

These webinars are among the activities to be hosted by the department during Crime Awareness Month which is observed from November 1 to 30.

The objectives of this year’s activities are to build awareness of criminal justice agencies in Barbados, highlight the positive contribution of criminal justice agencies in the fight against crime, to highlight and emphasise the work of criminal justice agencies in this country’s development, and to discuss possible solutions to crime and violence.
