The Community Development Department (CDD) will conduct three classes at its Rices Resource Centre, Rices, St. Philip starting in September.

These are Leather Craft, which will run on Mondays and Wednesdays; Creative Bag Making, on Tuesdays and Fridays; and The Art of Basket Weaving on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Classes are free and will commence in September. They will run for 12 weeks and registration will take place from Tuesday, August 4, to Friday, August 21.

Meanwhile, the Community Development Department and St. Philip HIV/AIDS Education Committee will host a Motorcade and Awareness Rally, this coming Saturday, July 25, at 1:00 p.m.

The event will begin at Six Roads, St. Philip and the districts to be visited include Marchfield, Brereton, Ebenezer, Halton, Church Village, Parish Land, Three Houses, Bayfield, Bottom Bay, Well House, Foul Bay, St. Martins, Oldbury and Kirtons.

The motorcade and rally are part of the CDD and St. Philip Committee’s effort to spread their HIV/AIDS sensitisation and awareness messages throughout the communities in that parish.
