The Government of Barbados will host the Meeting of CARICOM Climate Change Negotiators and Ministers from Monday, November 12, to Wednesday, November 14, at the Radisson Aquatica Resort.
The meeting is in preparation for the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will take place in Katowice, Poland, from December 2 to 14.
Technical meetings will be held on Monday and Tuesday to prepare CARICOM delegations for COP24; identify CARICOM lead negotiators for specific agenda items; and arrive at common positions for these agenda items.
The Ministerial segment of the meeting will take place on Wednesday. It will review and endorse the recommendations of the technical meeting and prepare Ministers for the high-level segment of COP24.
