The public is advised that all facilities of the National Sports Council will be closed from Wednesday, January 6, 2021 to Sunday, January 10, 2021 to facilitate industrial cleaning and sanitising.

In light of the recent increase of COVID-19 cases in Barbados, the Board and Management of the Council have decided to ensure a thorough cleaning of the facilities, specifically at the Wildey Gymnasium, Blenheim House and the National Stadium, to ensure the safety of all staff.

All facilities will reopen on Monday, January 11, 2021.

National associations and members of the public are reminded of the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit’s Emergency Management Protocol (Special Curfew) Directive 2021 – Section 5, which states that until further notice there will be no recreational or competitive sporting event.

The Board and Management of the National Sports Council apologize for any inconvenience caused and encourage all to stay safe and adhere to all protocols as we navigate these challenging times.
